Adarsh Kumar Singh

Indie hacker and CTO in Bangalore

I studied commerce in school, not science. Now I build AI products in public.

You can see my real revenue, my paying customers and how much code I ship, all live on this page. Right now my two SaaS products, SEOsorted and UXMagic, make $4,958 a month from 156 paying customers. Both are online right now.

49% of the way to $10k a month$5,042 to go

I'm 26, and most of my products start at 3 a.m. An idea wakes me up, I grab my laptop, and I start building before I can talk myself out of it. No waiting for permission. No “let me validate this first.” I ship it and let real users decide. Is it healthy? Probably not. Does it work? So far, yes. I'll keep shipping until one of these blows up.

Okay, story time. Let me tell you how it all started.

Story

  1. 2016–2018

The commerce kid in the computer lab

Computers were just my side subject. Then I met Java, and that was it for me. Skipped a class? Teachers didn't even ask. They just checked the computer lab. Plot twist: even with the science kids in the room, I was the second one to finish the final computer project, and I also became the room's project supplier.

  2. 2018–2021

    A degree in computers

My school teachers saw it before I did. They were sure I'd end up in computers. They were right: I did a three-year BCA at Symbiosis International University in Pune.

  3. Feb 2019

    My first code on GitHub

I started putting my side projects online. A lot of them were only half done.

  4. 2021

Google Summer of Code, and my first $1,500

Final year of college. I was convinced only IITians got picked. Applied anyway. I learned JavaScript and React from scratch, jumped into an open-source project, and pushed around 3,000 code changes before I even hit submit. Got in. Three months with JBoss paid me $1,500, my first money from code. Still my favorite paycheck.

  5. After college

An AI internship, then a service company

Right after GSoC, I landed an internship at an AI company. We trained large language models for Indian languages on a Kaldi pipeline. I was the intern learning from seriously cool AI/ML engineers: fine-tuning models, and training new ones from scratch on rented GPUs. Three months in, it turned into a full-time job. Ten months in, the learning slowed down, so I switched to a service company. That's where I learned to build real products for real users. I shipped for a lot of clients, including Hindustan Unilever, Johnson & Johnson and iGenie. For Tredence, I built a whole new product dashboard experience. A bunch of those products, I built solo.

  6. 2023

The call that made me a founder

After about 2.5 years at the service company, I quit. Then came two months of job hunting and side projects. Zero offers. Until my phone rang. It was Ronak Daga, who runs the design studio Red Baton and used to be one of our clients. His idea: a Figma plugin that helps designers design. I joined as the first engineer and built the whole thing. It blew up. In a couple of weeks, 25,000 people were using it, and some of them were paying. Ronak decided to bootstrap it and asked me, "Would you be the co-founder and CTO of this company?" That's the day my founder era started.

  7. 2024

    The plugin grows into UXMagic.ai

Ronak's next big idea: turn the plugin into a full AI design tool. I wrote more than half of the first code myself, before our first intern joined. We raised $150k from 500 Global and $50k from angel investors.

Today: $4,400 a month from 151 paying customers.

  8. May 20, 2024

    UXMagic's first payment: $5

    Small, but real.

  9. Jan 2026

UXMagic made $10k in one month

We collected $10.3k in January. It was our best month of the past year.

  10. Along the way

Zero ad spend. Millions of impressions.

We never spent money on marketing at UXMagic. Our secret was SEO. We built an AI pipeline that wrote blog posts and got them ranking on Google. In the last 3 months alone, that's 3.79 million impressions and 26k clicks, all organic. Meanwhile, AI design got crowded fast. So we asked ourselves: why not turn our growth hack into a product?

    First code for SEOsorted

We turned that blog pipeline into a full engine, and SEOsorted was born. It does keyword research, writes blogs on autopilot, schedules and publishes them, and builds backlinks. It also checks your AI visibility: whether ChatGPT and other AI tools mention your product, or quietly skip it.

Today: $558 a month from 5 paying customers.

  12. Aug 2026

    SEOsorted's first paying customer

They paid $99 for the Pro plan, three months after I started. In September, it made $558.

  13. Oct 2026

AI tools can use SEOsorted now

I added a way for AI tools like Claude to use SEOsorted directly. I also launched a $49 one-time plan to see if people buy that too.

Built with Claude Code: 193 sessions and 1,001 hours so far.

I write most of my code with Claude Code. So far: 193 sessions and 1,001 hours, with 178 sessions in the last 30 days. Each session shows up here when it ends.

How I work

  1. Idea. A customer email, or a tweet that bugs me. Notion, X
  2. Plan it with Claude. First I plan with Claude. Then I let it write the code. Claude Code
  3. Ship. I test it, check it and put it live, often the same day. Next.js, Azure
  4. Check. Did anyone pay? Did anyone leave? Stripe, DataFast, PostHog
Use boring tools
I stick to plain, proven tools like Postgres, Redis and BullMQ. Boring tools don't break at 3 a.m.
AI agents are users too
Every feature also works for AI agents. Claude can use SEOsorted the same way a person can.
Charge from day one
I add pricing before I add the feature. If nobody pays for it, I delete it.
